History
The farm is owned by Andy & Julie Norman. The hatchery and farm has been re-developed over the last 25 years to provide an excellent farming environment. The hatchery production now exceeds 450,000 fish pa, therefore enabling the supply to many other trout farms with their fingerling requirements as well as the core business of re-stocking trout lakes with high quality Rainbow and Blue Trout. The restocking production now exceeds 120,000 fish pa ranging from 1lb to 12lbs, supplying farms, sports fisheries and lakes across England and Wales.
The Team
Andy Norman - OwnerAndy and his wife Julie bought Exmoor Fisheries in Feb 2022 after a 3 year search for a new business. Andy's is originally a Mechanical Engineer by trade before working in a number of large business's in Consultancy, Training, Leasing and Account Management roles at senior manager and director level, before starting his own Consultancy and Recruitment business in 2008 which Julie joined in 2017 adding her educational consultancy skills to the portfolio.
By Andy's own admission whilst he was born and raised on a farm his knowledge of Trout Farming is limited. However it was easy to spot that the business had been well run having built an enviable reputation for high quality Trout over the last 25 years, so his plan is to change nothing and keep doing what the business is good at. Its also helped by the fact that the team remained in place after the previous owner Dave Fuller sold up to retire (and then didn't!!), in fact Dave remains in the team as well having decided to remain as a welcome source of knowledge and support. |

In his spare time he still likes to go surfing and can often be found wandering Exmoor with his dog Gilly. |
